Editorial policy
Sourcing
- Every story links to its sources. We prefer primary sources: official platform announcements, help-center and terms-of-service pages, developer changelogs, official patch notes, and the original post or clip from the person involved.
- We credit other outlets. If another publication broke a story, we say so and link to them.
- Data is attributed. Viewership numbers name their source, such as the platform itself or an analytics provider.
Verification
- No anonymous rumors. We don’t publish unverified claims about streamers, deals or platform plans.
- Breaking news is confirmed before publishing against at least one primary source, and updated as the story develops. Updates are marked with a time and date.
- A human editor checks every fact against the original sources and approves every story before it goes live. Nothing is published automatically.
- Real people deserve care. We don’t speculate about anyone’s health, relationships or alleged crimes. We report allegations only when they are already on the public record, and we attribute them.
Media
We use official embeds (Twitch clips, YouTube and X posts) instead of re-uploading video, and use game art from official press kits under the publisher’s terms.
Independence
Advertising and sponsorships never decide what we cover or what we say. Sponsored content, if we ever publish it, will be clearly labeled.
Some articles, such as deals roundups, include affiliate links: we may earn a commission when you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. Every article with affiliate links says so at the top. As an Amazon Associate, LobbyBuzz earns from qualifying purchases. Commissions never decide which products we include.
Ads are labeled “Advertisement” and kept apart from our reporting. We don’t run ads on our policy pages or on articles about crime, health or relationships. How ads use cookies, and how to change your choices, is in our privacy policy.
Corrections
We make mistakes, and we fix them openly.
- Factual errors are corrected as soon as we confirm them. A note at the end of the article says what changed and when.
- Significant errors (a wrong claim about a person, or a headline that misstated the story) get a note at the top of the article.
- Updates to developing stories are marked with the time and date. They are not treated as corrections.
- We don’t silently delete stories. If a story must be removed, we say why.
To report an error, email [email protected] with the article link and what’s wrong.
